Child Protection Specialist - Safeguarding Vulnerable Children

This role involves conducting thorough safety assessments to identify and address risks to children and young people within a multi-disciplinary service model. You will collaborate with experienced child protection professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes for vulnerable children and families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments to pinpoint and mitigate safety concerns for children and young people
  • Cultivate effective working relationships with stakeholders, acknowledging and respecting the cultural context of each case
  • Gather accurate and comprehensive information to inform evidence-based decisions
  • Foster meaningful connections within the program, practice, and legislative frameworks to drive positive change in families
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in frontline statutory child protection services or investigation services
  • Excellent analytical, assessment, and communication skills
  • A valid driver's license (P1 or above)
  • A paid working with children clearance number
