Advanced Physician Training Position

This role offers a unique chance to develop your skills as an Advanced Trainee in General Medicine. You will undertake 12 months of comprehensive training, consisting of 6 months core General Medicine and 6 months Core related General Medicine.
Our Medical FacilityLocated just under 3 hours from Melbourne, our hospital is nestled in the picturesque Mitchell River region. We are a leading teaching institution, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health, renowned for providing exceptional patient care.
Our General Medical department provides specialist services, including stabilisation and transfer of complex cases, as well as patients requiring subspecialty care. Our facilities include:
- 51 acute beds
- 20 sub-acute/rehabilitation beds
- HDU (High Dependency Unit)
- Modern theatre suite
- Emergency department
- 5 bed short stay unit
- Palliative care
- Maternity services
In addition to acute care, we also offer core services through our 90 bed Aged Care facility.
RequirementsTo be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an MBBS or equivalent degree
- Have satisfactory completion of the FRACP Written Examination +/- the Clinical Examination and be eligible to progress to Provisional Advanced Training
- Hold AHPRA General Registration
