The role of a Senior Program Specialist involves overseeing the delivery of complex projects. It requires maintaining overall responsibility for ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality project outcomes.

This position demands flexibility, adaptability, and an in-depth understanding of building services to successfully manage contractual requirements, maintain customer satisfaction, and identify business opportunities. Additionally, it necessitates owning financial performance, controlling costs, and implementing effective methods to maximize productivity.

To be successful in this role, one must possess excellent project management skills, strong communication abilities, and experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall responsibility for delivering complex projects within required timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and implement strategies to ensure timely delivery, adherence to scope, and zero or positive deviation from budget targets.
  • Manage contractual obligations to minimize Honeywell's exposure by promptly addressing issues and escalating concerns internally.
  • Foster relationships with customers to maintain high levels of satisfaction through trust-building and open communication.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing customers in collaboration with account managers.
  • Owning the financial performance of assigned projects, control billing and costs, provide accurate cost estimates at completion, and drive labor productivity.
  • Implement efficient methods, standard processes, and collaborate with Supply Chain teams to minimize costs and enhance product quality.
  • Design solutions that meet project requirements while minimizing delivery costs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, empowering team members to minimize defects and rework, and leveraging low-cost resources when feasible.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Desirable qualifications include higher education in management or project management, along with valid driver's license and ability to access a vehicle for site visits.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in HVAC and Building Management Systems (BMS), including project management roles with budget ownership, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting, and planning.
