About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to rotate through various clinical services, including Geriatrics and Rehabilitation. In these roles, you will provide exercise physiology assessment and treatment for patients with a range of diagnoses, including deconditioning, frailty, cardiac and orthopaedic rehabilitation.

As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting physical activity, exercise, and healthy lifestyle choices for our patients. Your expertise will be invaluable in designing and implementing tailored exercise programs to support recovery, enhance functional capacity, and improve overall well-being.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification in human movements, inclusive of the exercise physiology elective, and be eligible for accreditation from Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical assessments
  • Develop personalised exercise prescriptions
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families
