About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant and Equipment Specialist with a background in Mechanical to join our Bidding Team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will provide engineering and technical support related to the mechanical field for ongoing bidding and project start-up activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support bidding and project start-up activities, including engineering feasibility studies and procurement processes.
  2. Prepare relevant tender returnable schedules and associated technical documentation.
  3. Drive procurement strategy for Key Plant and equipment.
  4. Work with engineering and construction teams to identify and optimize the plant and equipment investment strategy.
  5. Identify and resolve problems that arise.
  6. Ensure that safety and environmental rules and programs are strictly adhered to and incorporated into P&E tender specifications.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Strong knowledge of plant and equipment used in the industry and their applications.
  3. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations related to plant and equipment procurement and operation.
  4. Relevant work experience (5 years minimum) in bidding, estimating, or project management in major infrastructure and energy sectors.
  5. Experience in preparing technical specifications and scope of work for plant and equipment procurement.
  6. Experience in managing budgets and procurement processes for plant and equipment.
  7. Strong negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms and conditions for plant and equipment procurement.
  8. Ability to manage multiple bids/projects simultaneously.
  9. Interstate travel may be required for major project bids.
