The role of Transport Infrastructure Planner is crucial in delivering high-quality road and drainage designs across a diverse portfolio of projects.
This position involves leading a skilled team to deliver innovative and practical design solutions for roads and drainage systems, while driving strategic planning and overseeing the successful execution of capital works and operational programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: Head a multi-disciplinary team with strong leadership skills to drive project success.
- Project Management: Experience in managing substantial budgets and overseeing the preparation and execution of projects.
- Road Design Requirements: Extensive knowledge of the latest road and drainage design requirements in line with Austroads and Main Roads WA.
- Communication Skills: Proven written and verbal communication skills to ensure accurate and concise engineering advice is provided.
- Legislation Interpretation: Well-developed analytical capabilities to interpret legislation correctly.
- Driver's Licence: Current driver's licence.
- Civil Engineering Qualification: Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Police Clearance: Current Police Clearance (less than three months old).
Applicants should have experience in project and operational management, including experience in the preparation and management of substantial budgets. A knowledge of external road funding such as Metropolitan Regional Road Group and Department of Transport grants is also desirable.
