Job Title: Trade Compliance Professional

We are seeking a skilled Trade Compliance Professional to join our team in Mawson Lakes.

The ideal candidate will provide support to the Contracts Manager in administering assigned contracts according to company policies and procedures.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

  • Administer GDLS-Australia contracts as delegated by the Contracts Manager.
  • Establish, maintain, and amend assigned contracts and agreements in accordance with corporate requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate Contract Change Proposals (CCPs) and Proposals ready for authorisation.
  • Perform contract authorisation within delegated authority.
  • Participate in developing and negotiating contract and sub-contract agreements.
  • Support the development and delivery of Contract-based data deliverables to customers according to contract schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Australian import/export trade regulations and those of countries with which we interact.
  • Oversee licensing requirements implementation and act as empowered official to sign trade compliance applications and documents on behalf of GDLS-A.
  • Interpret and explain licensing requirements and regulations and assist in resolving issues.
  • Develop and submit export permits to Defence Exports.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or other relevant field.
  • Demonstrated background and competencies in applying contract management practice.
  • Basic knowledge of Trade Compliance Regulations and Principles and understanding of Defence Export Controls framework is desirable.
  • Ability to prepare and present analysis/presentations to Leadership and Commonwealth.
  • A good knowledge of contracting principles is desirable.

To be successful in this role, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian government security clearance.
