We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Goodwill Engineering in Malaga, working closely with the Operations team.

About the Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of production plant and equipment within the Goodwill engineering factory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and fixtures to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Report upcoming required repairs via the Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
  • Assist employees with production and safety-related needs.
  • Retool machinery to adapt to customer order requirements.
  • Implement and facilitate upgrades to machinery to improve safety and performance.
  • Supervise and train employees on machinery usage where necessary.
  • Enhance the production process where required.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Support Goodwill Engineering in adhering to ISO-relevant procedures and instructions.

About You

  • Significant experience working in similar roles, such as tool making, machining, and fabrication.
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in areas like welding, fabrication, and tool making.
  • Personal or professional experience working with people with disabilities.
  • A valid forklift license and the ability to operate a forklift are highly desirable.
  • Laser cutter experience is also highly desirable.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-player and relationship building skills.
  • Planning and prioritization skills.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the principles of the NDIS and Community Inclusion and Quality & Safeguarding Framework.
  • National Police Clearance, right to work in Australia, current Driving License, NDIS Workers Orientation Module, NDIS Worker Screening check, Working with Children Check, and COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.
