Job Summary

As a Spa Therapist at Marriott International, you will provide exceptional massage and body treatment services to our guests. Your expertise will help create a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, promoting overall wellness and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide massage services using various techniques and props to ensure a tailored experience for each guest.
  • Offer body treatments, including scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy, to promote relaxation and rejuvenation.
  • Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with current techniques and modalities to provide the best possible service.
  • Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes to create a calming atmosphere.
  • Check in with guests regularly to promote comfort, safety, and security throughout the service.
  • Promote and sell spa and salon services, including retail offerings, to enhance the guest experience.
  • Clean and maintain tools, workstations, and treatment rooms to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Monitor and adhere to time schedules to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Handle inappropriate guest behavior in accordance with Marriott International's standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain current skills and licensure in the service area, as required by regional regulations.

Requirements

  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
  • Complete safety training and certifications as required.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.

Working Conditions

  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
