Lead a Team of Gardeners in a Dynamic Coastal City

The City of Cockburn is seeking a dedicated and experienced Leading Hand to join its Environment, Parks & Streetscapes team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading a small group of gardeners and undertaking various gardening duties in over 300 parks and reserves.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of gardeners and provide guidance and direction
  • Undertake gardening duties including planting, tree pruning, hedge trimming, weed spraying, fertiliser application, pest and disease control, and mulching
  • Ensure high-quality work and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Landscaping/Horticulture
  • MR Licence
  • White Card
  • Experience using hedge trimmers, pole saws, and other equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and a solid understanding of safety protocols
