Role Overview:
We are on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to take on a pivotal role within our aged care facility. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about leading a care team and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
As a key member of our organization, you will provide guidance and support to care staff, ensuring that each resident receives personalized care that aligns with their individual needs and preferences. You will report directly to the Care Manager, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality care to residents in a leadership capacity.
- Supervise and mentor fellow care staff.
- Establish and nurture relationships with residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are prioritized.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to coordinate and implement care plans.
- Administer complex clinical care, including wound management, medication administration, and health assessments.
- Document care observations and reports using the iCare system.
- Review and adjust care plans to accommodate the evolving needs of residents.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Registered Nurse DIV 1 - AHPRA Registered.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in aged care settings.
- Proficient in computer usage with familiarity in iCare being advantageous.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety responsibilities, including manual handling.
- Knowledge of aged care legislation, accreditation standards, and ANACC is highly valued.
- Current First Aid Certification.
- Valid police clearance.
- Up-to-date flu and Covid vaccinations.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
