We are seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our diverse team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists at EACH in Liverpool.

Job Description

This is a rewarding career opportunity for those passionate about early childhood intervention. As an Early Years Specialist, you will deliver supports to families in partnership, using evidence-informed best practice to help them achieve their goals. Your role will involve:

  • Determining the needs of children and their families, and developing strategies to support their development;
  • Delivering tailored support options that cater to each child's and family's unique circumstances;
  • Empowering families, caregivers, and professionals by building their skills and confidence to support children in their everyday lives;
  • Fostering connections between children and families with their community, ensuring they feel included and can participate in settings and activities they choose;
  • Maintaining thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system;
  • Guiding families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree qualification in Occupational Therapy;
  • Expert knowledge in child development and early intervention, along with the ability to identify developmental issues;
  • A proven track record of building relationships and supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including implementing effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
