About Our Role

We are seeking a seasoned coastal expert to join our National Maritime Team in Brisbane, Australia.

As a senior coastal engineer, you will be involved in the planning and design of large-scale maritime facilities for various industries. You will utilize your existing experience to apply coastal engineering principles across these different sectors.

You will collaborate with other disciplines across KBR and partners, including civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers. Your expertise will be leveraged to deliver concept designs through to construction phase support.

This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your existing coastal engineering experience and take on leadership roles, such as project management and proposal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, evaluation, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures
  • Experience working with local governments, port clients, and/or Defence sector
  • Familiarity with Australian design codes and guidelines
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff
  • Project manage and/or design manage small maritime projects

Requirements

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain chartership within agreed timeframe)
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance
