Job Summary:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Management Specialist to oversee logistics operations, inventory management, and Defence quality and safety standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with warehousing staff, OEM suppliers, and existing Defence supply-support facilities via the Defence Integrated Distribution System (DIDS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the codification, cataloguing, and disposal of Defence ICT Assets
  • Assist in 6 monthly reconciliations with CIs within the Configuration Management Database
  • Develop and maintain an accurate asset inventory level, including records within TAMIT and/or MILIS
  • Conduct surface maintenance duties
  • Manage Scheduled Electrical Integrity Testing (EIT) and tagging of physical assets
  • Update Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and relevant Asset management systems, providing required certificates for items that have been securely disposed of
Requirements:
  • Defence recognised SCM qualifications and experience with Supply Chain Management tools and technology
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and accuracy when multitasking across multiple activities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels
  • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, building professional relationships
  • NV1 Security clearance (with the ability to upgrade to NV2 if required)
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in Defence Deployed ICT Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations, Portfolio, and Project Integration
  • Previous experience in Defence ICT Warehousing operations and stock control with relevant qualification in Warehouse Operations and Record-keeping
  • Forklift License
  • Intermediate level of knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) with experience with inventory and planning software packages
