Healthcare Leader, Prison and Youth Detention Services

This is a senior leadership role that oversees the delivery of healthcare services to adults and young people in custody.

The successful candidate will have experience in health service delivery, ideally in custodial, primary, or preventative health, alongside demonstrated capability managing large operational teams and clinical governance frameworks.

West Moreton Health delivers healthcare to over 300,000 people across urban, rural, and regional communities. It plays a critical role in providing specialist healthcare to people in custody.

As the Healthcare Leader, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of healthcare services to adults and young people in custody across the region. You will be responsible for a workforce of more than 300 staff and must have a strong commitment to inclusion, public sector values, and culturally safe care.

You will bring senior-level leadership experience in health service delivery, including managing large operational teams, significant budgets, and clinical governance frameworks. Your success will depend on your ability to build relationships across Queensland Health, corrections, youth justice, and community partners, while leading strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and reform in complex systems.
