Business Analyst Position

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of business analysis requirements for enhanced IT enablement across the University.

About the Role:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for working collaboratively with key stakeholders to ascertain business needs and document business requirements for priority IT processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between stakeholders to ensure technology business requirements are understood, and any shortfalls in system capacity to satisfy requirements are identified and documented.
  • Using project management methodologies, develop project plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practice processes, providing guidance and assistance in decision-making.
  • Deploy functional solutions, including creating system test plans and UAT, to ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system.
  • Develop functional or business process specifications for use by system developers.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a similar Business Analyst role, including systems analysis, design, and implementation experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodology, ability to identify business process improvement, and implement change.
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
