The key is to deliver care that respects and acknowledges the dignity, culture, values, beliefs, and rights of detainees.

Key Qualifications:

  • General unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification (desirable)

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changes and provide responsive services
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, database management)

Experience Requirements:

  • At least five years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, including hands-on patient care in an operational setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues in drug and alcohol-related health services
  • Ability to apply relevant Commonwealth and State legislation, policies, standards, guidelines, and frameworks to ensure compliance
