Job Overview

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Store Assistant Manager to join our team in Ipswich, Queensland. As a key member of our store leadership, you will play a vital role in driving sales, service, and profitability goals while maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Store Manager in leading the store operations, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and fostering a positive work environment. You will be expected to develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives, manage stock effectively, and maintain visual merchandising standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example to promote our brand culture internally and externally.
  • Ensure the store is ready for business every day, implementing and maintaining standards of visual merchandising and store appearance.
  • Support the store manager to recruit, train, lead, and engage the team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure we deliver service excellence to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of all customers and staff.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a retail supervisor/leader assisting in managing the daily operation of a store in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and listening skills with a resilient and confident profile.
  • Knowledge of computerised POS systems, Payroll, Rostering, and training systems.
  • Ability to problem-solve, think outside the box, and make decisions on the spot.
  • Availability to work long shifts, weekends, holiday, and seasonal periods, when necessary, to meet business requirements.
