Strategic Cyber Warfare Officer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Strategic Cyber Warfare Officer to join our team.

Job Description: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of strategic direction and advancing capabilities for the Defence Cyber Domain. You will provide advice and coordination to seniors on behalf of the cyber domain, supporting the development of doctrine, concepts, strategies, and plans. Additionally, you will assist in the development of international cyberspace capacity, ensuring the integration of cyber capabilities at a domain level and their promotion across five eyes partners.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving and Initiative: Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative to resolve challenges and analyze/interpret legislative/policy requirements are critical for success in this position.
  • Judgement and Time Management: Sound judgement and time management skills are necessary for accurate completion of work to meet deadlines.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: Discretion in managing sensitive or confidential information is essential for this role.
  • Organisational and Collaborative Skills: Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment, as well as the ability to sustain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate effectively to deliver business outcomes, are required.

About Our Team: Our team provides strategic direction for the Cyber Domain through the development of strategy, concepts, doctrine, and through joint experimentation. We lead the ADF Cyber Domain and contribute fundamental inputs to capability that helps generate cyber warfare, information, and electronic warfighting capabilities for the Joint Force.
