Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Southern NSW Local Health District. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients/clients who have experienced violence, abuse, and neglect.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care to patients/clients in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's National Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
- Provide medical and forensic responses and healthcare to people who have experienced violence, abuse, and neglect.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients/clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to prevent further harm or abuse.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing or health science.
- Experience working with patients/clients who have experienced violence, abuse, and neglect.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
