About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Professional to join our team at St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care and services that cater to the unique needs and preferences of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing personal care and support services to residents, including grooming, showering, mobility, meals, toileting, and social activities
  • Assisting residents with daily living tasks, such as dressing, feeding, and bathing
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and health and safety protocols
  • Collaborating with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote resident autonomy and choice
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in aged care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of empathy and understanding of the needs of older adults
