Mental Health Support Worker
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of different mental health diagnoses, experience supporting participants with complex behaviors, and be confident in responding calmly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage challenging behaviors through physical and verbal de-escalation techniques
- Work collaboratively with a close-knit team to provide high-quality support services
- Coordinate social outings and provide day-to-day living support to individuals with mental health conditions
- Provide detailed shift notes and incident reports to ensure continuity of care
- Proven track record working with complex and challenging behaviors
- Experience working with vulnerable people in residential settings
- Knowledge of various mental health diagnoses and treatment options
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
