About the Role

The Education Support Officer is a key member of our team, working under the supervision of the Trainer/Assessor to provide support to students and enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students to facilitate their understanding of learning materials and concepts.
  • Follow up with students to encourage ongoing engagement and motivate them to complete tasks and activities.
  • Support the Trainer/Assessor in meeting VRQA compliance functions, including documentation.
  • Supplement learning activities by providing follow-up instruction to practice skills and enhance the student's educative experience.
  • Work collaboratively with Trainers to carry out administrative functions as required.
  • Maintain a professional image and positive outlook in representing the organization.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the RTO Manager.
Performance Requirements
  • Provide support to students to facilitate their understanding of learning materials and concepts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • CHC40213 Certificate IV in Education Support or CHC40221 - Certificate IV in School Based Education Support.
  • Appropriate subject knowledge, skills, and vocational qualifications as determined by the employer and a commitment to maintain currency.
  • Ability to understand the content of learning materials and processes used.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
  • Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
  • High-level written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to accept direction, provide and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • A personal alignment with the values of Brite.
Additional Requirements
  • Current driver's license.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children check.
  • Fully vaccinated.
  • Provide verified copies of relevant qualifications, certificates, or other testamurs.
