Welder Specialist

D&S Steel Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Fabrication and Repair Expert to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating and repairing metal structures and products using various techniques, including bolting and riveting.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating and repairing metal structures and products
• Inspecting welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
• Cleaning and smoothening welds by polishing, filing, chiselling, grinding, and applying acidic treatments
• Conducting quality control checks and ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Applying safety and occupational health standards in all welding operations
• Working with team members to plan and prioritize work

Requirements include:

• AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Skilled in the use of various metalworking tools and equipment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Sound knowledge of welding procedures
