Job Description:

As a Clinical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our patient records. This involves assigning ICD-10-AM codes for patient discharges across all specialties and processing clinical and medico-legal requests for information.

You will also provide excellent customer service to the department, assist with medical record management activities, and participate in coding audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation preparation events.

Your attention to detail and time management skills are essential in this role.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • HIMAA Certification in Clinical Coding or other recognized Clinical Coding course with experience in ICD-10-AM and ACHI.
  • At least 1+ years of clinical coding experience within a hospital setting.
  • Sound understanding of Codefinder and Turbocoder.
  • Strong organizational skills in planning, prioritizing, and managing workloads.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Sound knowledge of private sector funding models.
  • Demonstrated understanding of WebPAS patient information system preferred but not essential.
