About the Role

Windana is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Therapist to join our team in delivering high-quality services to young people affected by alcohol and other drugs (AOD) challenges.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group therapy sessions, as well as supporting clients in their recovery journey.

About the Program

Our ResetLife program is a structured intensive outpatient program for young people up to the age of 25. The program involves 16 weeks of intensive treatment, followed by 36 weeks of continuing care.

Key components of the program include:

  • Individual/Family Therapy Sessions: Providing one-on-one support to clients and their families to address AOD challenges and related mental health issues.
  • Early Recovery Skills Group: Delivering psycho-education on skills to achieve sobriety and maintain long-term recovery.
  • Relapse Prevention Group: Teaching clients specific skills to prevent relapse and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  • Youth Education Group: Providing information and support to encourage ongoing abstinence and healthy decision-making.
  • Social Support: Building social skills and promoting a healthier life for young people.
About You

We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional who is passionate about supporting young people with AOD challenges. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant Health and/or Tertiary Education: Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or Allied Health Sciences.
  • Certificate IV in AOD: Or completion of the AOD Skillset/required competencies.
  • Experience Working with Young People: With high acuity mental health issues and AOD challenges.
  • Ethical and High-Quality Clinical Practice Skills: Ability to guide and mentor young people in their recovery journey.
