About the Role:

This position is responsible for assisting with all packaging development and issue resolutions in the Homecare & Glad product categories for the ANZA region, as well as MENA & Asia when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become the conduit between packaging manufacturers and the marketing team to provide design-for-purpose packages for new and existing products.
  • Contribute to initial mechanical design for new products, lead knifeline creation and confirmation with suppliers and marketing.
  • Annotate knifelines to increase product appeal on the shelf.
  • Test packaging design concepts and artwork via physical and/or virtual mock-ups.
  • Create near-real product samples to support the Sales team.

Packaging Materials and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Test packaging materials for quality and compliance with 'fit for use' requirements.
  • Confirm packaging materials specifications with suppliers and create Clorox internal specifications.

Laboratory Testing and New Technologies:

  • Lab test and report physical/mechanical properties of plastic films, foil, bake, non-woven products, cleaning utensils like sponges and specialty cloths.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in a technical role in Lab work and Packaging development or industrial design.
  • Lab experience is a must on testing physical parameters like Gauge, Tensile Strength, Dart Drop, Tear Resistance, TLT and Puncture Resistance.
  • Good interpersonal skill and ability to communicate with external suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other specialized software.
  • Analysis of laboratory results and reporting using specialized equipment and software.
  • Ability to resolve technical issues and deal with the unexpected.
