About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team in South East Queensland. As a key member of our Water Resources Team, you will be responsible for delivering flood risk management, flood modelling, and hydrology/hydraulic assessment support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver flood risk management, flood modelling, and hydrology/hydraulic assessment support to clients
  • Check and review project outputs to ensure technical excellence
  • Prepare tenders and proposals to secure new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with a large number of professionals in various geographies and build relationships with internal and external clients
  • Coach junior professionals and foster the growth and development of the team

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering and RPEQ/CPEng registration
  • Strong client focus, high level of motivation, and dedication, with the ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Experience or interest in project management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and communicate with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with water resource modelling and design packages such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS, and RORB
  • Good working knowledge of ARR 2019, TMR Drainage Manual, and QUDM
