We are seeking a skilled and committed professional to provide high-standard trauma-informed clinical practice working with victim-survivors of sexual assault, children, and young people with harmful sexual behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work closely with diverse communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ individuals, migrants, culturally and linguistically diverse groups, people with disabilities, and those who have experienced sexual and family violence.
  • To develop and deliver training programs for young people and adult learners.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in counselling, social work, psychology, or occupational therapy with mental health accreditation is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the impacts and dynamics of sexual assault, as well as experience in trauma-informed counselling.
  • Experience working with children and young people who exhibit harmful sexual behavior is essential.
  • Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge of Tasmanian legislation and policies pertaining to sexual assault, child protection, and family violence.

Please note: This is a fixed-term part-time position available until December 2026, with potential transition into a permanent role as they arise within the organization.
