About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Safety Trainer to join our team at the Department of Home Affairs. As an Operational Safety Trainer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality operational safety training to our officers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver operational safety training programs to ABF officers
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of ABF operational safety training materials
  • Assist in the administration of approved and endorsed operational safety training
  • Participate in Operational Safety Training Unit Quality Assurance processes
  • Assist in Operational Safety Training Unit projects
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain medical, fitness, and psychometric requirements relevant to the role
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current UoF qualification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current ABF Operational Safety Trainer qualification
  • Ability to obtain an advanced first aid and advanced resuscitation certificates
  • A current Australian driver's license
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or higher and vocational training delivery experience
