Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to step up into an Assistant Asset Manager role, reporting to the Head of Asset Management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure the portfolio is performing at optimum levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate updated portfolio data and work with the Leadership Team to ensure its accuracy.
  • Manage tenant liaison around leases and rental commitments.
  • Assist with leasing and CAPEX data for the annual asset plan.
  • Plan and manage property maintenance, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including property and leasing lawyers, in-house counsel, tenants, managing agents, marketing & development team.
  • Track updates from leasing agents, review leases, and contribute to leasing strategy.
  • Manage centre and property management teams, monitoring KPIs and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate the preparation and approval process of property operating budgets.
  • Assist in quarterly and annual reporting of the portfolio, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the due diligence and assessment of potential acquisitions, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
  • Conduct financial analysis, market studies, and industry-standard reporting, including variance reporting, discounted cash flows, IRRs, etc.
  • Assist in the sale of assets, ensuring a smooth transition and maximizing returns.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read a commercial lease and understand its implications.
  • Property management experience across any asset class, with a focus on commercial properties.
  • Excellent stakeholder skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate leases and other agreements.
  • Energetic and positive demeanor, with a focus on delivering results and exceeding expectations.
