About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Manager to join our team at RACQ. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the bank's financial reporting, liquidity position, funding requirements, market and investment risk, securitisation programs, capital risk, and balance sheet composition in compliance with prudential requirements, the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), strategy, budgets, and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a treasury and banking technical expert, providing guidance and support to the team.
  • Be responsible for the Bank's financial reporting function, management reporting, forecasting, and budget.
  • Oversee the bank's treasury activities and processes with reference to strategy, budget, and forecasts, and in compliance with RAS, policy, and prudential requirements.
  • Develop and maintain efficient and compliant approaches, systems, models, and procedures for managing the bank's financial risks.
  • Ensure treasury system data and financial risk reporting is provided on time and is accurate.
  • Prepare and present the bank's annual external credit rating agency reviews and external debt investor updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships, winning trust from a range of stakeholders, including Bank Executive, Bank Asset & Liability Committee, and Group Executive Committees, while managing diverse perspectives.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of financial market products, liquidity management, funding, and balance sheet management. You should have in-depth knowledge of banking and ADI regulatory requirements, as well as proven experience with treasury management, asset and liability management, and market information systems.

  • Excellent analytical skills for problem-solving, numerical calculations, and data interpretation.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively reading, analysing, and communicating information in both written and verbal formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to find trends and patterns within diverse data sources, including members, competitors, and the market information.
  • Qualified Certified Practicing Accountant or Chartered Accountant.
