Job Description

This role involves working as a skilled on-site handyman, performing day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.

  • The ideal candidate will have their own transport to and from the start and finish location, with the possibility of traveling to alternative locations or picking up materials during work hours.
  • They must supply their own tools and equipment, ensuring they meet workplace health and safety standards and are in working order.
  • Transporting tools and personal protective equipment to each site is a key part of this role, working onsite with limited access to facilities and amenities.
  • Work will be performed with minimal supervision, often involving physical labor exposed to the elements and sometimes in extreme conditions.

The successful candidate will possess relevant trade skills to a level of a certificated tradesperson, including:

  • Cross-trade skills in multiple building and construction trades.
  • Ability to interpret plans and drawings relevant to their functions.
  • Experience in joinery assembly and installation, carpentry, plastering, painting, simple plumbing, and electrical works.

A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Carpentry Trades Person or equivalent experience in a related trade role in the building and construction industry is required. Significant demonstrated experience in renovating residential properties may also be considered.
