Financial Analyst

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our project cost control team.

In this role, you will provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making on cost-related matters.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cost control and analysis in a project delivery environment, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

You will work closely with procurement, contracts & commercial teams to monitor budgets, commitments, expenditures & forecasts, and collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Work closely with procurement, contracts & commercial teams to monitor budgets, commitments, expenditures & forecasts
• Liaise with planning to integrate financial data with physical progress & productivity
• Maintain resource requirements, PAFs & rates
• Assist with accurate cost control information including detailed analysis of budget, commitments, expenditure, VOWD, forecasting & change control
• Monitor and track project costs, ensuring adherence to financial constraints
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities

What You Will Bring:

• Prior experience in cost control & analysis in a project delivery environment
• Tertiary qualifications in project controls, quantity surveying, commercial or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Basic knowledge of ERP software (Oracle and/or SAP) and project control software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
