Job Overview: As a diesel engine technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and inspecting engine components.
About the Role: We are seeking skilled diesel technicians who want to enjoy their work with less strain and more satisfaction. In this role, you will have the opportunity to focus on high-quality service work without the pressure of major repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and systems
- Inspect engine components, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other parts for wear or damage
- Replace defective parts and reassemble components with precision
- Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare detailed reports or issue roadworthy certificates
Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals accurately
- Licensing: An HR/HC licence is desirable but not mandatory
- Time Management: Strong ability to adhere to schedules while maintaining quality standards
- Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset
