Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability professional to join our organization in a hands-on leadership and compliance role based out of our head office in NSW. The successful candidate will report to the Divisional Manager HSEQT and be responsible for environment and sustainability compliance, as well as developing and executing our sustainability and environment strategy across the group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain environmental and sustainability management systems
  • Develop and execute an organization's sustainability and environment strategy, including internal and external reporting
  • Deliver bespoke sustainability projects and drive a culture of contemporary thinking and alternative practices
  • Apply statutory and regulatory requirements to assist in the development of business systems relating to sustainability and the environment
  • Apply Sustainable Development Goals in a business context

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering related discipline
  • Strong Environmental and Sustainability compliance experience
  • Experience in developing and maintaining environmental and sustainability management systems
  • Knowledge of the ISC and ISAP
  • Knowledge and ability to apply statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge and experience applying Sustainable Development Goals in a business context

Desirable

  • Experience in civil construction tenders and delivery phases, providing feedback on alternative methods of construction, pricing, and supply use from a sustainability and environmental perspective
  • Accredited ISAP Professional
