We are seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our culinary team at Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, ideally within hotel or high-volume settings.
Job Description:
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and delivering a high-quality breakfast buffet service. This will involve handling opening preparation and station setup, ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are upheld, assisting in developing menu items and recipes, maintaining strong communication between Front and Back of House, and supporting training and supervision of junior kitchen staff.
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position, with 3 to 5 shifts available per week, including weekend shifts as required. The hourly rate (excluding super) is $28.12 per hour on weekdays, $35.15 per hour on Saturdays, and $42.18 per hour on Sundays.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent), have a strong understanding of HACCP, OH&S, and kitchen hygiene standards, and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
