A220 Aircraft Training Captain

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced A220 Captain to join our team at Qantas. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to our pilots, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to operate our A220 aircraft safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Captain and First Officer training in the A220 aircraft
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Qantas Operations Manual Suite and relevant regulatory documents
- Make recommendations to the Head of Training and Checking on procedures for increasing safety on our fleet
- Provide a positive and caring training culture for all trainees
- Demonstrate strong leadership by displaying high standards of conduct and behavior consistent with our Qantas values
- Participate in Training Review Committee meetings, as requested by the Head of Training and Checking
- Attend and participate in personal development days and training meetings
- Provide reports to the Head of Training and Checking each bid period, highlighting identified training issues and trends
- Facilitate ground training courses, where applicable
- Other duties as requested by the Head of Training and Checking
- Minimum 1000 hours PIC on A220 or similar generation 4 jet aircraft
- Minimum 4000 hours total experience
- Previous experience as a training or check captain (or equivalent qualification) on jet aircraft
- Australian ATPL
- Demonstrate above proficient non-technical skills and an in-depth understanding of the impact of human factors on performance
- Display excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities
- Demonstrate an inclusive and respectful leadership qualities
- Have a proven ability to work as part of a team
- The ability to pass a CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
- A working knowledge of International standard regulations, industry guidance and requirements
- Level 6 English language qualification on your licence
- Maintain an exemplary standard of professionalism, integrity and ethics, along with a high standard of conduct and behavior consistent with Qantas values
