Job OverviewThis role reports directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and focuses on the mechanical design of cutting-edge networking equipment. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Creo 3D CAD.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of end solutions that meet customer expectations.
- Utilize CAD software to design and develop mechanical components, adhering to stringent requirements including structural integrity, thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility, safety, manufacturability, cost efficiency, aesthetics, tolerance specifications, documentation, and conformity to existing product families.
- Implement selected designs using CAD software, providing all necessary drawings, critical dimensions, and 3D files to facilitate prototyping and manufacturing.
- Coordinate and manage peer and cross-functional team reviews of your design, as well as participate in reviews of other engineers' designs.
- Establish and maintain accurate bill of materials (BOM), release, and update products utilizing product lifecycle management tools (Agile).
