About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a mechanical technician, you will be responsible for building and repairing mobile equipment from our well-equipped workshop.

This role involves working with hydraulic systems, assembling, fitting, machining, and troubleshooting components with a keen eye for details and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate will have experience in installing and maintaining Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as proficient reading technical drawings and specifications.

In this role, you will collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion, conduct routine maintenance and inspections on hydraulic equipment, diagnose and repair hydraulic system issues, and test hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling and Installing Hydraulic Components: You will assemble and install hydraulic components and systems, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Routine Maintenance and Inspections: Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on hydraulic equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair hydraulic system issues, using your problem-solving skills and knowledge of mechanical systems to resolve complex problems efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with team members to ensure timely project completion, communicating effectively to coordinate tasks and share knowledge.
  • Technical Expertise: Use your expertise to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, applying your knowledge to design and build new equipment or modify existing systems.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality, conducting quality control checks to ensure that all work meets the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Qualifications: Relevant certification as a Mechanical Technician or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Skillset: Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, excellent time management, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
