Technical Support Specialist

Victoria University seeks a skilled Technical Support Specialist to assist in delivering high-quality nursing, midwifery, and paramedics education. The successful candidate will provide technical advice and support to students and teaching staff, utilizing their skills and experience as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse or Simulation specialist in a busy tertiary education environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and monitor clinical and simulation learning laboratories equipment, manikins, teaching models, and stock, ensuring smooth operation of teaching activities.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and associated technology in operating order according to manufacturers' instructions.
  • Operate, monitor, and demonstrate manikin-based computers and technical audio-visual equipment, participating in moulage and simulated material development.
  • Contribute to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, risk assessment, and management processes, providing laboratory safety inductions.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate simulated learning environments and skills practice sessions. Experience in a simulated or clinical laboratory learning environment is preferred.
