About the Role:

Hume City Council is seeking an experienced Aquatic Recreation Services Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality aquatic supervision, services, and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of safe, friendly, inclusive, and welcoming environments for Hume City Council residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Coordinator Aquatic Services in the development and review of risk assessments, policies, procedures, and work instructions relating to Aquatic Supervision and Services.
  • Implement, monitor, and review systems and processes within the facility to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, organisational policies, and industry best practices.
  • Support the Coordinator Aquatic Services in the development and review of risk assessments, policies, procedures, and work instructions relating to Aquatic Operations (including Water Quality and Pool Operations).
  • Develop and implement processes for Duty Supervisors to deliver high-quality day-to-day operations in key Aquatic Operation areas, including Aquatic Supervision, Water Quality management, and Pool Plant Operations.
  • Conduct annual Pool Safety Assessments in conjunction with the Coordinator Compliance and Safety and other relevant leaders.
  • Support staff development and provide opportunities for skills growth and progression within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in recreational management or a similar field, or relevant experience in aquatic operations management coordination and delivery.
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Award.
  • Current Provide First Aid (Level 2) Certificate.
  • Aquatic Technical Operation (Pool Operation) Certificate or demonstrated experience, skills, and knowledge in operating public pool plant and equipment.
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Current driver's licence.
