Water Engineering Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Water Engineering Specialist to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing design requirements, conducting site investigations, performing calculations and modeling, overseeing drafting, and preparing reports and specifications. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues are essential.

A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field is required, along with significant years of experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design. Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices, as well as relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes, is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review design requirements and conduct site investigations
  • Perform calculations and modeling to ensure project feasibility
  • Oversee drafting and prepare reports and specifications
  • BUILD strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related discipline
  • Significant years of experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices
  • Knowledge of risk management and ability to identify project-related risks
