This role is crucial to the sustainability and growth of our organization through the Personal Injury Team. The role supports a high-performing team that works strategically under a Mental Health Claims Management Framework with employers and employees to reduce the impact of mental injury and claim costs.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support workers with mental injuries for the first 12 weeks and periodic points during the claim lifecycle.
  • Engage early with stakeholders to identify barriers to recovery and return to work after lodging a mental injury claim.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop individualized strategies based on best practice solutions to expedite recovery and return to work.
  • Support the Claims Operations Team in gathering information efficiently and effectively to accept reasonable treatment in line with the clinical framework.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation by overseeing mental injury recovery and RTW outcome trends.

Maintain awareness of industry developments and respond effectively to changes.

About You

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar or clinical role working in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapist with Mental Health background).
  • Excellent understanding of mental health injuries and experience working in workers compensation and/or personal injury industries.
  • Strong complex case management capabilities focusing on return to work, mental health, and medically complex cases.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Qualifications in Mediation AND/OR Mental Health First Aid are considered advantageous.
