We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated academic to join our team in the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences at The University of Adelaide. As a Lecturer in Critical Minerals Geoscience, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative research environment that fosters excellence in teaching and research.
About the RoleThis is a continuing Level B position available to women and non-binary candidates only. The successful applicant will be involved in both research and teaching within the Earth Sciences department, with a strong focus on critical minerals geoscience. You will be expected to develop a vigorous externally-funded research program, including supervising honours and postgraduate research students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and develop undergraduate, honours and postgraduate courses in Earth Sciences, with a focus on critical minerals geoscience.
- Conduct independent research in critical minerals geoscience, with a strong publication record in highly regarded scientific journals.
- Develop and maintain strong research collaborations with industry and government institutions.
- Supervise honours and postgraduate research students in critical minerals geoscience.
- Contribute to the development of new courses and programs in Earth Sciences.
- PhD or equivalent degree in Earth Sciences.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduate-level Earth Science or related discipline.
- Demonstrated research excellence and interest in geoscience applied to critical mineral ore systems.
- A track record of successful engagement and research collaboration with industry and/or government institutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organisational skills and ability to forge collaborative relationships and engage others.
