Welder/Fabricator - Continuous Improvement

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team in a key role that requires the ability to conduct fabrication and welding duties on time, in full, and to standard. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on continuous improvement and strive for excellence in all aspects of their work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fabrication and welding duties as directed by management.
  • Understand and accept assigned tasks, completing them within timeframe and to a high standard.
  • Maintain ownership and respect for tools and equipment.
  • Assist in other trade-based sectors of the business during periods of reduced trade-specific works.
  • Comply with all relevant policies and procedures related to health, safety, and environment (HSEQ).
Requirements:
  • Essential:
    • Trade qualification in Welding or Fabrication, Boat building or Boilermaking.
    • Previous experience in Boiler making/Welding in heavy industry.
    • Able to attain welding qualification to Survey Body level standard.
    • Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner.
    • Demonstrate adequate theoretical knowledge.
    • Ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade.
    • Possess good time management skills and ability to meet set targets.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous experience in Boiler making/Welding in the Marine Repair industry.
    • First Aid, EW, and Forklift Certification.
    • Previous experience in Defence/Government sector.
