At Boston Scientific, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technology Consultant to join our team as an Electrophysiology Specialist. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilise your technical knowledge and clinical expertise to provide support in electrophysiology across ANZ. With frequent travel required, you will be working closely with leading healthcare professionals to deliver advanced medical technologies to patients in need.
This is a unique chance to leverage your skills and experience to drive success in new therapy introductions of Pulsed Field Ablation through our recent launch of the FARAPULSETM system. As an Electrophysiology Specialist, you will demonstrate clinical expertise to influence superior outcomes, collaborating extensively with Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, and Nurses.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Support: Provide basic trouble-shooting and clinical guidance to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias, utilizing your understanding of electrophysiology principles, radiofrequency biophysics, and cryo-thermal ablation.
- Technical Training: Develop a deep understanding of company products and provide technical training to Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, and Nurses.
- Customer Engagement: Travel as required to meet customer demand, attending cases face-to-face or remotely, operating Boston Scientific products, and providing detailed training/advice on clinical attributes/techniques associated with electrophysiology products.
- Business Development: Build relationships with hospital personnel, develop a deep understanding of workflows and specificities, and ensure that products are trained and utilised in accordance with Directions for Use.
- Reporting and Administration: Collect, report, and record medical documentation, respond to complex customer needs, and complete relevant administration tasks including reporting, stock validations, and inventory management.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A thorough understanding of Cardiac Electrophysiology, Biophysics of radiofrequency and cryoablation, and Pulsed Field Ablation (Pulsed Direct Current) on cardiac tissue.
- Strong technical and clinical skills, with the ability to absorb complex information and apply it in the field.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships, preferably in the medical device industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret EP signals and troubleshoot issues.
- Tertiary qualifications in biomedical engineering or science-related disciplines, with desired qualifications IBHRE EP and IBHRE Pacing.
The estimated annual salary for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000, depending on experience and location. This figure includes bonuses and other benefits packages provided by Boston Scientific.
