Job Summary:

Peak Scientific Instruments Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and technical support to our customers in the field.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level technical advice and support to customers in the field.
  • Install and test Peak products in-house and in the field.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) according to the service manual.
  • Provide technical support and basic troubleshooting.
  • Provide basic user start-up, shut-down, and how-to-use training for Peak products.
  • Escalate any issues to the manager promptly.
  • Use necessary tools and equipment correctly.
  • Write clear and concise service reports after every service.
  • Collaborate with the manager, other service technicians, and Peak colleagues by sharing field knowledge.
  • Follow set processes, procedures, and appointments.
  • Maintain inventory and van stock by conducting parts and tooling checks.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of pressure systems and transportable gases.
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering degree or related subject.
  • Good communication skills and ability to prioritize workflow.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills and ability to follow equipment drawings and flow diagrams.
  • Good practical skills and methodical approach to resolving problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines.
