As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in negotiating favourable rates with suppliers and subcontractors, streamlining procurement processes, and enhancing the company's cost savings.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and secure favourable rates with suppliers and subcontractors
- Streamline procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Enhance the company's cost savings through proactive problem-solving and negotiation skills
Requirements:
- Proven Procurement Expertise: A proven track record in procurement for construction companies, with a history of achieving savings on building materials, supplies, and services.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, scope, plans, hardware, and related industry rates and costs, enabling effective negotiations.
- Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate and secure favourable rates from suppliers and trades before purchase orders or sub-contracts are awarded.
- Experience in Supplier Management: Identifying new suppliers, opening accounts, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure the best terms and conditions.
- Ability to Review Invoices and Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain budgets.
