We are seeking a talented software developer to join our dynamic team in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide.

Job Overview:

As a backend software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing backend features within an existing service architecture. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand problems and ship high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement backend features that power user experiences and internal systems at scale.
  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code with guidance from more experienced engineers.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand problems and ship high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions as part of a supportive team.
Requirements:
  • Experience in building backend systems using Java in a production environment.
  • Strong Java fundamentals and ability to write production-grade code applying backend concepts like multithreading, service design, and performance optimisation in real-world systems.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and comfort developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to work through problems from design to deployment with support from your team.
